As a Senior Associate specialising in commercial dispute resolution, I help our clients to manage the risks that their business is facing, risks which can often threaten a client’s reputation, normal business operations or commercial objectives. Disputes of any kind present a worrying and challenging time for clients.
I take ownership with the client of the dispute in question, and I take the time to understand the issues in the dispute as well as the client’s objectives. This helps to build meaningful client relationships which work both ways and allows me to tailor solutions to a client’s needs.
There are often many solutions to a problem, whether that be through issuing or defending legal proceedings, exchanging pre-action correspondence, seeking settlement or exploring other forms of alternative dispute resolution, like mediation. I take each case on its own merits and help clients by navigating them through the process and risks of disputes, bringing strategic, legal and commercial solutions to the table.
Prior to joining White & Black in September 2024, I worked for a regional law firm in Reading for seven years in the dispute resolution team, and prior to that in house for a leading manufacturer and retailer of luxury vehicles, as well as for a national regulator in London taking enforcement action to protect consumers. I have a wealth of experience in a wide range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, professional negligence disputes, construction and IT disputes, product liability claims as well as helping businesses to manage consumer disputes.
