Suzanne Whiteman
As a Senior Associate and a corporate lawyer, I enjoy working on mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, constitutional matters, shareholder arrangements and issues of corporate governance. I’m also very proud to have been entrusted with mentoring our trainees, the up-and-coming legal stars of tomorrow and the future of our firm.
Having lived and worked abroad for extended periods, I’ve learned a great deal about effective communication and draw on this when working with clients to help understand their businesses, their goals and what drives them. This enables me to forge long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as an extension of their team.

The unique, supportive culture at White & Black really assists with this – I get to work with high-calibre colleagues, with whom I’ve fostered longstanding connections, and it is these ties that help us work closely together, lawyers and support staff alike, to provide a seamless service to clients.
I trained in the City and have been at White & Black since 2017. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I completed a degree in Russian – studying and working there for two years – and subsequently worked for the BBC for several years as a journalist, editor and translator, monitoring Russian news and current affairs.
