In May 2022, the agency was acquired by the global sports, music, and entertainment powerhouse Wasserman.

How we helped
Our team advised Esportif during its acquisition by Wasserman. Esportif has been re-branded as ‘Wasserman Rugby‘ effective immediately and with it has become Wasserman’s first ever rugby division. Our experts, led by Jonathan Williamson, partnered with the Esportif leadership team to ensure a favourable investment structure and terms, allowing the team to extract the maximum possible value from this acquisition.
Esportif’s team of more than 40 other employees will be moved under the rebranded ‘Wasserman Rugby’ banner, with the leadership group of Ryan Constable, Craig Innes, Rhys Parsons, Duncan Sandlant, Bruce Sharrock, and Mark Spoors joining the agency giant in similar capacities.
Wasserman Rugby will operate globally across the active and growth territories of both rugby codes, with the broader agency’s footprint now expanded to more than 30 locations worldwide.
