Liz Riman
Head of People & Training
I have been actively involved with White & Black from its conception and I most enjoy meeting and then supporting new generations of lawyers.
As Head of People and Training, I work on developing the team’s skill set, particularly in the area of soft skills: preparing our trainees, lawyers and our business support team, for client contact, business development and management challenges. The nature of White and Black means that I can respond to training needs and create bespoke programmes to address these needs, one to one or in small groups. I also lead our Schools project which informs and prepares sixth-form students who are thinking about stepping into the Law and supports them in their career journey through long-term mentorship. I am proud that we have supported over 200 young adults from state schools to access this opportunity.

I have a background in education and specialise in neurodiversity, as a Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessor and teacher. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I bring to White and Black, a strong belief in growth-mindset and I am highly invested in the magical pathway of seeing young students, bloom into dynamic and confident lawyers, with support and guidance.
