I am a Partner with particular expertise in disputes involving a heavy commercial, regulatory or political component.

My focus is on business sensitivities, including growth and risk management, rather than legal procedure and I advise clients across a range of business sectors, in the United Kingdom and abroad. I am instructed in both litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Disputes arise within a matrix of different human conditions, set against a personal, business, financial or political backdrop. Understanding which are at play and how to manage them is a vital part of my work.

I began my professional life as a barrister 25 years ago in leading commercial chambers in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining White & Black in 2025, I spent 20 years at international law firms in London and New York, and at a specialist disputes and political advisory firm.
