Sam Ridgway
As Head of Marketing and CSR, I work on managing the firm’s strategic positioning, driving the growth of our brand and continually developing the service we offer to our clients.
Having played sport my whole life, I’m a huge believer in the principle of ‘resilience from variety’. The diversity in opinions, backgrounds and perspectives that we have at White & Black is what makes us so successful.
We’re not afraid to question the motives and assumptions of our team if it ultimately leads to better outcomes for our clients and business. We’ve got technical experts, strategic thinkers, administration professionals and creative specialists, all working under the same roof – bringing a different perspective and approach to daily challenges. The more embedded you become within a team, be it business, sport or any other context, the more you realise just how pivotal this variety is to success. A company full of carbon copies is going nowhere fast.

I first joined White & Black in my gap year in 2014 and have worked in every area of the business since then. Starting out as a Finance and Admin Assistant, I kept in touch with the firm throughout my university studies and re-joined full-time in 2020. Prior to my role in Marketing, I was a CIPP/E certified Data Privacy Advisor, working alongside our lawyers and advising some of our fantastic clients.
